Who won the cold war? Who lost the cold war?

First let me state that there are two Americas. The high America, I’ll call them capitalists and the low America, I’ll call them the working class.

For those of you who were too young to remember between the mid 1940’s until the early 1990s was a period known as the cold war. This was a time of conflict, tension and competition between the USA, high America and the Soviet Union who were considered the high Russians.

Although there was no military war both the high America and the high Russians wanted to rule the earth, one philosophy of democracy and one of communism. Both had an agenda and the competition was extremely high.

Was there a winner and a loser to this so called war? Yes. The loser was the low America.

Many feel that the war was won by America as the great President Ronald Reagan and Mikhail Gorbachev met in 1985 and the attitude started to change. Both governments were broke.

The reason the low Americans lost was because the priority was to rebuild Japan and Germany so they would become Allies with the United States. It was more important to keep these countries away from Soviet rule by rebuilding these countries so that they would be the Allies of the high America.

The morality of taking care of the low America was overlooked by rebuilding Japan and Germany who would certainly go under communist rule rather than what high America wanted. What they did was not only rebuilt these countries, they gave them the potential of being greater than high America. They saw the capitalist way and saw that they too could establish two countries that appeared to be one. They learned everything high Americans taught them and was able to move to a higher plane. The student always learns more than the teacher.

Who lost the cold war? The lower America. Factories were being shut down, the average factory worker lost their jobs, small businesses lost their companies as the money was used to turn the entire world to capitalism. It was more important to build a global economy of capitalists than to take care of the average low America. Lower America was the one who lost the cold war.

In a science fiction series there was an episode whereby war was not fought with weapons but with scenarios of who won the battle and how many casualties were lost. People were then killed, in a more humane way, still losing their life in a simulated war.

As you know many things that were once science fiction is now reality. This, in essence, is how high America treated low America. Low America lost the cold war, not in life but in lifestyle.

Capitalism is not a bad thing, but does not have morality as a whole.

Yes, there are companies and corporations who look at low American they hire as their adopted family and will do anything to keep this part of their family alive and prospering.

Then there are companies and corporations that do the worse immoral thing a human can possibly do. They look at low Americans they hire as their adopted family and say they will do anything to keep this part of their family alive and prospering. They show signs they are compassionate and demonstrate it from time to time. This makes the adopted family have such loyalty to the company it comes first, regardless of their personal life. But still they are capitalists with the mentality of survival of the fittest.

Corporate Capitalism also has the mentality of survival of the fittest. This is known up front. Moving up in the company is the intent to motivate their staff to reach to the top. Still, the rung in the ladder breaks and you are no longer fit. You are cast out like any vulnerable creature. Some are able to survive and move on to another corporation of capitalism. Some are not. In this case you are instantly transformed and become part of low America. Low America accepts these people as one of their own because the same thing happened to them and/or the morality of low America comes before money. You have become a casualty of the cold war.

Corporate Capitalism only has control of one section in their company, labor costs.

Your selling price, in most cases, is controlled by your competitors. The costs of raw material, in most cases, is controlled by the supplier based upon demand and supply. The only thing that a corporation or company has control over is you, the laborer.

To make a profit when one is not or their ROI is too low for their stockholders they have to do something to make more profit. Again, their only control is over labor.

If they raise their price too high they put themselves out of the marketplace.

Raw material costs are controlled by supply and demand of the supplier. This is difficult to change and you can find yourself where raw material is no longer supplied to you. Some corporations, like Wal-Mart, are able to tell the supplier how much they will pay. There is a reason for this that I will go into another blog as this one is already too long and too wordy.

When labor costs are the only thing you can control you look for cheaper labor. Cheaper labor can be found outside of the United States. The corporation feels like it has no other recourse and goes after the cheap labor. Again, the low America takes the hit on this because survival of the fittest is still the golden rule. Low America has again become a casualty.

One final comment to make. I know of no corporation who has placed a ceiling on how much money that it can make, no ceiling to the amount of profit and great rewards for those who are willing to take the risk.

Bigger Barns:
The land of a certain man was very productive and he began reasoning in himself saying what shall I do to store my crops? And he said this is what I will do. I will tear down my barns and make bigger barns and there I will keep my grain and my goods. And I will say to myself I have many good laid up for many years to come. I will take ease, eat, drink and be merry. And wisdom said to him you fool. What if a great storm comes and takes everything from you. Who will own what you have prepared? So is the man who lays up treasure for himself and is no longer rich. For he is not fit and no longer can build. He is no longer living in the high America. He finds himself desolate with no food, no shelter and no money. His riches were gone, those who were his friends denied to know him. He sat in a corner so overwhelmed he knew not what to do. There was not a single thing he could do as he was no longer the survivor of the fittest. The lower America saw him having this experience and knew exactly what to do. The lower America took him in and judged him not.
