Kansas Coal-Fired Power Plants, CO2, Global Warming

This is the script for the mySpace video. The youTube video has an anomaly in the video portion which makes it difficult to see.

Kansas Coal-Fired Power Plants, CO2, Global Warming, Al Gore

Randy Conyers expresses his best wishes to Al Gore's Birthday. As a present Randy expresses his own personal beliefs on Today's Global Warming, the Biological Pump, Diatoms and Kansas Coal-Fired Power Plants. Randy says today's Global Warming is good as it shows that the Earth is alive and is already working on the CO2 problem. There is hope because of today's Global Warming illustrates that the Earth will do whatever it needs to survive. Remember, this is the only planet we have to live on. Being good stewards is so very important.

Kansas Coal-Fired Power Plants, CO2 and Global Warming

In celebration of Al Gore’s 60th Birthday I feel that it is prudent to express my personal beliefs on what we have seen to date on Global Warming.

I believe that the Earth is alive. It does everything it can, in a survival mode, to stay alive and to keep us, those who are suppose to be good stewards of the earth, in grace by the terrible mistakes we make. Forgive us Mother Earth for we know not what we do.

We should all be smart enough to do our personal research on CO2 and Global Warming if we would only take the time to do the research we can be good stewards to the planet that we live on. Right now we have no other place to live.

First, you must study the biological pump. In doing so you will learn about diatoms. The purpose of diatoms is the natural way to keep the amount of CO2 in balance with what the Earth can consider as tolerable. That is why in days of old using coal was not a problem. The earth could keep itself in balance.

Today is a completely different situation. The biological pump has not been able to keep up with the exponentially increase in CO2 with one source of the problem coming from the amount of Coal-Fired Power Plants that we have today. Knowing there are plans to build even more plants, like we have in Kansas, only adds to the problem making us again bad stewards on protecting our environment.

Today’s global warming is actually a good thing. Yes, you heard right. Today the Earth must use global warming to survive, which is a good thing, letting us know that the Earth is alive and is doing its own cleansing.

In studying the oceans, which is liquid H2o, there is one of two things the earth is doing. This Kansas boy does not know which one it is so I will discuss both. What this Kansas boy does know by using common sense is pumping CO2 under the Earth’s crust and in to the depths of the ocean is reactive alternatives that make sense, to some, today.

The oceans need to increase the natural production of diatoms for the biological pump. In doing so it must also increase the amount of water needed for doing so.

The other possibility is that the oceans are getting so acified by using it’s own measurements that it must dilute the oceans by increasing the water supply.

Again, This is my personal belief and I consider it to be true.

The oceans will rise, as more water is needed in the attempt to get the earth back in sync with what it can tolerate. The question is how much water is it going to take?

I certainly don’t fear the global warming of today. It gives me hope and confidence that the Earth is working on the problem today.
Everything that is happening today is Good.

We see glaciers and snow packed mountaintops disappearing. Of course we do.
The oceans need more water for the planet to survive.

We see the drying of existing water sources within the land. Of course we do.
The oceans need more water for the planet to survive.

We see huge ice packs melting. Of course we do.
The oceans need more water for the planet to survive.

I could go on and on but sighting 3 of the obvious is more than enough.

Be glad the Earth is adjusting for our mistakes.

The question is how radical do the changes need to be for the Earth to survive?

I say to you:

Be happy to see today’s huge rainstorms.

Be happy to see today’s flooding. Plus I ask you to pay close attention to where these floods are happening. What regions are being hit the hardest, as we perceive them to be disasters? But are they really?

The Earth is taking a much overdue, needed shower. Some areas have to be scrubbed more than others.

I say to you:
Be pro-active in these changes rather than re-active. The coastlines are going to continue to change. It is useless to think they are not. They are.

The coastal areas must figure out what they are going to do as the water continues to rise. We are smart people and can figure out what to do. We can overcome our ignorance.

Start working on this issue today so you don’t perceive today’s global warming to be a disaster. Reacting too late will appear to be a gigantic mistake where fear and chaos will prevail.

I don’t want to hear any crying about a city being washed away or flooded under.

I, Randy Conyers, will not listen to any excuses.

To my fellow Kansans:

As you can see our continued use of Coal-Fired Power Plants contribute to this global problem. The thought of building New Coal-Fired Power Plants is incomprehensible based upon what I have already said in this video.

However, in reality the choice to continue is the hardest decision our legislators will ever make while they are in office.

This problem is such a contradiction on what we have on our goals. Economic Growth and more jobs is something we strive for while at the same time we want independent energy sources and keeping our environment clean. We cannot have both.

I have deep feelings on both sides of the issue. Those who worked so hard to bring these companies in to the state and to build on our land for the improvement of Kansas has to be devastating as your accomplishment is looked upon as being wrong.

The same is true for those who have always apposed it. Sacrificing economic growth, seeing companies leaving our state, seeing an independent energy source vanish before your very eyes has to be devastating.

Protecting our environment and being good stewards sets an example for the world to follow. Sacrificing those things that are so dear to our overall growth is a difficult choice.

Who we are and the kind of ethics we have in Kansas will prevail.

In closing,

Happy Birthday Al for reaching age 59 for the second time!

Kansas Coal-fired power plants and CO2 and Global Warming

Randy Conyers says the Earth is alive.

What does one do when their life is trying to be taken away from them? I say that you go into survival mode, doing everything in your power to prevent death. The Earth is no different.

Continuing to run Coal-Fired Power Plants is being very unkind to the Earth. You know, the planet we live on and we are suppose to be good stewards over?

Building NEW coal-fired power plants in an insult to humanity. Yes, we are fools for doing such a thing. The problem is, however, that we are not smart enough to realize what we are forcing the Earth to do to compensate for our ignorant acts of destruction. Forgive us mother Earth for we know not what we do.

Your research needs to start with the Biological Pump. This will get you into diatoms which will tell you the truth and set you free from wondering what is right and what is wrong.

I perfectly understand the reasoning for just 2 more plants and then drawing the line in the sand and saying enough is enough. The short term costs, financially, are extremely high. The loss of jobs saddens us all. Companies going out of state to build these plants because we no longer want their kind here is a devastating blow to our Kansas economy. Those who worked so hard to get this business in to Kansas are now looked at as if they were fools, a personal attack when you are truly doing the things you felt were best for Kansas.

I feel for our legislators, both for and against this independent energy source.

Examining the facts takes much time and resource.

Thank goodness the State Library in the Capital building has plenty of computers connected to the Internet. Plus since everybody always has a cell phone stuck to their ear they can call and talk to the source of the information. Those who want to know the facts have access to it if they make the time for it.

First, your best case in ridding yourself with a CO2 problem is to pump it under the earth's crust and cross your fingers that you made the right decision, hoping it will not create an even bigger problem in the future for our children and grandchildren. Pumping CO2 into the depths of the oceans has been, to date, a practical thing to do.

Next you must study the oceans to see what diatoms do and if you want to get technical about them you certainly can. The information is available to you.

The Earth controls CO2 with its Biological Pump. What we do in Kansas does, in fact, contribute to what the oceans must do to compensate for the out of control ratio.

The oceans have a choice to make on how rapidly IT can fix the problem. In each scenario more liquid H2o is necessary to fix the existing problem. Remember, it is already a problem. This is not something that could possibly happen in the future. It is here today.

Al Gore needs to continue steadfast with godspeed for what he and his organization are doing. The ratio of CO2 to diatoms is so out of whack right now an additional exponential increase in CO2 may make the Earth take another route to survive than what it is doing now to get the Earth back in sync. And if you think "global warming" is bad the other options the Earth has to take care of the situation, well... you don't want to even imagine.

What is happening today is that the Earth is making more liquid H2o to resolve the problem that IT see before it.

I'm just a Kansas boy and can't tell you which of the two reasons the earth is doing this. It is either, one, to allow more diatoms to be created to compensate for the problem or, two, IT's oceans are getting so acidized it must dilute the acid by bringing in more liquid H2o.

The oceans must be raised in either case. The Earth must take more H2o that is currently in ice form and turn it into liquid. You must have more water regardless of what action the earth is taking. That's just the plain simple fact.

The earth needs more liquid water to take care of the problem we created by the continued use of high CO2 plants.

I say again, the water in the oceans will rise. The Earth needs more liquid water. Period.

Let me address the fear factor, today's Global Warming.

We see glaciers and snow packed mountain tops disappearing. Of course we are. The oceans need more water for the Earth to Survive.

We see the drying of existing water sources within the land. Of course we do. The oceans need more water for the Earth to Survive.

We see huge ice packs melting. Of course we do. The oceans need more water for the Earth to Survive.

I could max out the size of this blog by siting reason after reason after reason.

I certainly don't see today's Global Warming as something to fear.

The Earth is doing what it must do to survive since we have failed, to date, at taking care of the Earth.

Cause and effect. It's being done so we don't have to fear the future of a FINAL Global Warming.

Be glad the Earth is adjusting to our mistakes. It is happening. Be pro-active to the changes the oceans ARE making to the land.

Be happy to see today's huge rain storms.

Be happy to see today's flooding and pay particular attention to the regions that are being hit the hardest.

The Earth is taking a much needed shower.

Some places need to be scrubbed more than others.

This is the last issue in this blog. Being pro-active vs. re-active. The coast lines are going to change. It is wishful and useless to think they may not. They are.

Major coastal cities must figure out today what they are going to do. Start doing those things necessary today so you don't perceive it to be a disaster while it is happening. Reacting to such a major event will be caos when there is no need for it.

I don't want to hear any crying about a city being washed away or flooded under.

I, Randy Conyers, won't listen to excuses.

I urge you to join my friend Al Gore's movement. The more active you become in the movement the more you will understand what is happening today and what could happen in the future.

Take the first step in your quest for understanding what Kansas Coal Fired Power Plants and CO2 does to the Earth. Keep Kansans informed so they can understand. We will then go to the other states so their mind-set can join ours.

McPherson County Democrats continue to grow

I went to the regularly scheduled McPherson Co meeting on the 17th. Carolyn stated that 35 people have become McPherson County Democrats. For the record, Senate District 35 (Jay Emler) has 35 more McPherson Democrats. The momentum has started. Those who have not been willing to dedicate themselves to a party plus Elephants are making the correct decision for 2008.

Standing behind the Democratic party rather than sitting on the fence or eating peanuts is the right thing to do in McPherson County.

The momentum has just started.

Once the primary season is over watch for Donkey crossings being put up throughout the county. You will see young Donkeys, middle aged Donkeys and those Donkeys that are technically ready to be put out to pasture stay in town and work for the party.

Carolyn had prepared a very nice Donkey snack table that was certainly enjoyed by this Donkey.

Harvey County Democrats continue to grow

I went to Newton on Saturday March 15 to speak to the Harvey County Democrats at their Saturday Breakfast. The time I went before, which was about 9 months ago there were 6 people with donuts and coffee supplied by the party. On that Saturday there was a room reserved at the Red Coach Inn for the Breakfast. When I got there I counted 16 people and each paid for their own breakfast. Virginia picked up the tab for the cost of the room. When the hat was past around the room there were green bills filling the basket.

I applaud the Harvey County Democrats.

The age 25 and younger croud are ready for change.

I went to Wichita on March 13 to Wichita State University to speak that evening to the Wichita State University College Democrats. It was so nice to see so many young Democrats and how enthusiast they are in changing the world by being politically active today.

I've never spoken at Lindquest Hall, which is the tallest building on campus. That made it easy to be there right on time.

Currently plans on being worked on to bring College Democrats to McPherson on All Schools Day.

It will be a busy week with the young College Democrats in McPherson, a parade and then a quick drive to Topeka Saturday morning for the NAMI walk.

It makes me wonder what people would do if they saw an Elephant driving with a Donkey down Interstate 70.
