Here they come around the first turn.....
Who's leading the pack? Who's currently in last place? Me, Randy Conyers. At this point of the race it is the best place to be. Why? A newspaper with good exposure reported it as such. One of Conyers' quotes in the last two articles regarding his opponent was "Yeah, I'll give him a run for HIS money".
Let’s focus on the numbers. 92% of the time the candidate with the most campaign funds win. It’s a proven statistic. It is also true that 8% of the time the candidate with the least amount of money wins. Let’s round up the numbers and say your odds are 10:1.
For every 10 candidates that have the most money ONE will lose. For the state house that means at least 13 will not win. I don’t care how much money they have, the fact is ONE of every 10 is going to win regardless of his bank account. Guaranteed!!!
Let's get this in to perspective for my district, 73. I have personally raised 7 times more money than the County's silent auction fundraiser did. I have raised more money than any Democrat has for the past few years. Why? There hasn't been a Democrat even willing to run for the House of Rep.
Money to make an impression. Lots of money to even run for office. Those are political beliefs of the old Mindset.
When I was in business my life line was referrals. People talking to people. My money had absolutely nothing to do with it.
I did a small consulting job in New York for the Rockefeller Family. Do you think I impressed them with my money? not a chance
I was referred to a few oil & gas companies. Do you think I impressed them with my money? not a chance
I was referred to Insurance Companies both in the USA and Latin America. Do you think I impressed them with my money? not a chance
My hourly billing rate was reasonable plus expenses. Why were these companies willing to pay my fee? Because I was referred to them by a person who knew that I was good for their business. They had no idea how little I had in my bank account. What impressed them was my work. News like that gets around in the business world of the United States pretty fast. Going into public service I expect the person talking to person will go up exponentially. I get things done. I make a difference. I change things. I make their outlook on the future be extremely positive.
Impress them with my money? not a chance. Impress them by the work I do? you bet
I spent 32 years designing and writing computer software systems. I have plans. These plans will work.
For Public Service I have written a plan for Affordable Health Care. I am currently writing a plan for educational excellence. Independent Energy Source is a no brainer. Creation of new jobs by planning on development of new inventions is easy. Planning on how to work with the WTO while we are still on the temporary plan that FDR created for our rural areas is something I can do. My plans go on and on.
Impress people with the money I can raise? That's the old way of thinking.
Impress people with what I do? Certainly. That is the new Mindset.

For 32 years I have designed computer software. What that means is that I am going to change the way things are done. I have been successful in doing this year after year after year.
I change how companies do their work. I change the way people work. I change the way people think.
I do walk throughs and advise (consult) on how things can be improved.
There are four basic steps to implementing a plan that will change the way things are done. This methodology was taught by a very wise man. I have used his wisdom over and over again.
First, You are ignored.
Second, You are ridiculed.
Third, They fight you.
Fourth, You Win.
If you think you can change the way people think without going through the four steps you are a fool. It is easy for me to smile as the four steps take place. I have experienced these steps time and time again. My plans are no longer for a business or family entity doing business. My plans are for changes that we need as a society.
We are all creatures of habit. Change is fearful. However after these changes are made and you start to use them they become user friendly. Each person has to realize, in their own time, that the new system is better. Your pre-conceived ideas that scared you so much will vanish. The new way becomes your habit.
As time goes by even better ideas will come. You will find yourself going through the same feelings and thoughts. We are all creatures of habit. We don't like to be scared. We fear our future.
I am not scared nor am I fearful. I must be the change I want to see. Others will follow. If you build it they will come.
Step 1 of 4 has started. I will not stop until step 4 is implemented.
