Kansas Coal-Fired Power Plants, CO2, Global Warming

This is the script for the mySpace video. The youTube video has an anomaly in the video portion which makes it difficult to see.

Kansas Coal-Fired Power Plants, CO2, Global Warming, Al Gore

Randy Conyers expresses his best wishes to Al Gore's Birthday. As a present Randy expresses his own personal beliefs on Today's Global Warming, the Biological Pump, Diatoms and Kansas Coal-Fired Power Plants. Randy says today's Global Warming is good as it shows that the Earth is alive and is already working on the CO2 problem. There is hope because of today's Global Warming illustrates that the Earth will do whatever it needs to survive. Remember, this is the only planet we have to live on. Being good stewards is so very important.

Kansas Coal-Fired Power Plants, CO2 and Global Warming

In celebration of Al Gore’s 60th Birthday I feel that it is prudent to express my personal beliefs on what we have seen to date on Global Warming.

I believe that the Earth is alive. It does everything it can, in a survival mode, to stay alive and to keep us, those who are suppose to be good stewards of the earth, in grace by the terrible mistakes we make. Forgive us Mother Earth for we know not what we do.

We should all be smart enough to do our personal research on CO2 and Global Warming if we would only take the time to do the research we can be good stewards to the planet that we live on. Right now we have no other place to live.

First, you must study the biological pump. In doing so you will learn about diatoms. The purpose of diatoms is the natural way to keep the amount of CO2 in balance with what the Earth can consider as tolerable. That is why in days of old using coal was not a problem. The earth could keep itself in balance.

Today is a completely different situation. The biological pump has not been able to keep up with the exponentially increase in CO2 with one source of the problem coming from the amount of Coal-Fired Power Plants that we have today. Knowing there are plans to build even more plants, like we have in Kansas, only adds to the problem making us again bad stewards on protecting our environment.

Today’s global warming is actually a good thing. Yes, you heard right. Today the Earth must use global warming to survive, which is a good thing, letting us know that the Earth is alive and is doing its own cleansing.

In studying the oceans, which is liquid H2o, there is one of two things the earth is doing. This Kansas boy does not know which one it is so I will discuss both. What this Kansas boy does know by using common sense is pumping CO2 under the Earth’s crust and in to the depths of the ocean is reactive alternatives that make sense, to some, today.

The oceans need to increase the natural production of diatoms for the biological pump. In doing so it must also increase the amount of water needed for doing so.

The other possibility is that the oceans are getting so acified by using it’s own measurements that it must dilute the oceans by increasing the water supply.

Again, This is my personal belief and I consider it to be true.

The oceans will rise, as more water is needed in the attempt to get the earth back in sync with what it can tolerate. The question is how much water is it going to take?

I certainly don’t fear the global warming of today. It gives me hope and confidence that the Earth is working on the problem today.
Everything that is happening today is Good.

We see glaciers and snow packed mountaintops disappearing. Of course we do.
The oceans need more water for the planet to survive.

We see the drying of existing water sources within the land. Of course we do.
The oceans need more water for the planet to survive.

We see huge ice packs melting. Of course we do.
The oceans need more water for the planet to survive.

I could go on and on but sighting 3 of the obvious is more than enough.

Be glad the Earth is adjusting for our mistakes.

The question is how radical do the changes need to be for the Earth to survive?

I say to you:

Be happy to see today’s huge rainstorms.

Be happy to see today’s flooding. Plus I ask you to pay close attention to where these floods are happening. What regions are being hit the hardest, as we perceive them to be disasters? But are they really?

The Earth is taking a much overdue, needed shower. Some areas have to be scrubbed more than others.

I say to you:
Be pro-active in these changes rather than re-active. The coastlines are going to continue to change. It is useless to think they are not. They are.

The coastal areas must figure out what they are going to do as the water continues to rise. We are smart people and can figure out what to do. We can overcome our ignorance.

Start working on this issue today so you don’t perceive today’s global warming to be a disaster. Reacting too late will appear to be a gigantic mistake where fear and chaos will prevail.

I don’t want to hear any crying about a city being washed away or flooded under.

I, Randy Conyers, will not listen to any excuses.

To my fellow Kansans:

As you can see our continued use of Coal-Fired Power Plants contribute to this global problem. The thought of building New Coal-Fired Power Plants is incomprehensible based upon what I have already said in this video.

However, in reality the choice to continue is the hardest decision our legislators will ever make while they are in office.

This problem is such a contradiction on what we have on our goals. Economic Growth and more jobs is something we strive for while at the same time we want independent energy sources and keeping our environment clean. We cannot have both.

I have deep feelings on both sides of the issue. Those who worked so hard to bring these companies in to the state and to build on our land for the improvement of Kansas has to be devastating as your accomplishment is looked upon as being wrong.

The same is true for those who have always apposed it. Sacrificing economic growth, seeing companies leaving our state, seeing an independent energy source vanish before your very eyes has to be devastating.

Protecting our environment and being good stewards sets an example for the world to follow. Sacrificing those things that are so dear to our overall growth is a difficult choice.

Who we are and the kind of ethics we have in Kansas will prevail.

In closing,

Happy Birthday Al for reaching age 59 for the second time!
